Welcome to Ottawa! Today we are joining Amit Kehar as he introduces us to some of his must-see arts and culture spots in the capital.

To start the day we headed to one of Amit’s favourite coffee joints, I Deal Coffee, located on the outskirts of the Byward Market.

The Byward Market is not your traditional farmers market. Along with produce stalls, this site is buzzing with an eclectic selection of cafes, shops, and art organizations, including our next stop the National Gallery of Canada.

The National Gallery of Canada has lots to see inside and out. They house over 40, 000 works as well as a large piece of public art called Maman by Louise Bourgeois. We had the opportunity to take a glimpse inside as Amit led us to his studio.

While there we got a behind-the-scenes sneak peek at the #FoodtoPalette video series which will be available to watch through the Ontario Culture Days festival.
