Welcome to Lincoln!

Located in the heart of Niagara region, Lincoln boasts one of the most diverse economies in Niagara. Attractions include over 50 wineries, fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers, heritage sites, and natural wonders such as the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario as well as a growing local arts and culture scene. Before the Ontario Culture Days festival, we caught up with Olivia Rozema, the Cultural Events and Programs Administrator at the Town of Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre.

Olivia is especially excited for the 55th annual Pioneer Day festival on Saturday, October 2! Check out more information on the event listing here. Stick around on October 3 for the grand opening of the new Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre! And don’t forget to check out “Art Lives Here,” a new event being introduced to enjoy local art and food and welcome the public to explore the new museum.

This collection lists all the exciting events happening in Lincoln and region over Ontario Culture Days festival, including exhibitions, tours, and more.

We’re lucky for Olivia’s inside scoop of local recommendations to check out while you’re in town:

  1. Bench Brewery is located in the former 1944 Maplegrove Schoolhouse and has been lovingly restored to showcase the historic elements of the building. Stop by Bench Brewing Company to enjoy a fantastic meal and a local beer in their brewery.
  2. Pearl Morrissette Restaurant was named Canada’s best new restaurant in 2018. This is the ultimate foodie experience and is located right down the road from the museum in Jordan!
  3. Inn on the Twenty is great if you are looking for a beautiful place to rest your head. Fun fact – what is now the spa at the hotel used to be the location of our former museum!
  4. Cave Spring Vineyard’s tasting room is the perfect spot to sample some of the region’s best wines.
  5. Downtown Jordan Village is a destination in itself and is filled with boutiques, galleries, cafés, and restaurants.
