About the Program

How can maps be used as a record, a way of documenting, or a tool for finding our way back? Amanda Lederle’s artistic work is influenced by their lived experience with mental illness and work towards personal growth. In their practice, Amanda uses the form of maps, inventory and list-making to explore emotional experiences such as anxiety, resilience, and recovery. For their residency, they will lead a series of in-person illustration workshops to create stickers that highlights one’s experience with the chosen emotion, as well as a digital art challenge people can complete at home.

These programs would not be possible without the support of the Government of Canada, the Canada Council for the Arts, the Province of Ontario, the Ontario Arts Council, the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund and the Toronto Arts Council.

The Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund is a program of the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, administered by the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund Corporation.
