Winter Stations

In its seventh year, Winter Stations reimagines the lifeguard stations along Toronto’s east end beaches for the winter. The competition saw entries from over 90 countries, and the winning entries include works from Turkey, France and Canada – bringing the world of design to the water’s edge. For art-lovers outside of Toronto, 2022 is the first year Winter Stations will be in Hamilton — so plan an afternoon at Pier 8!
Winter Glow
Black Creek Pioneer Village, Toronto

This family-friendly outdoor light festival makes winter glow with ice sculptures, life-sized snow globes, and live performers – all synchronised to music! Situated on a 2 km forest trail, you can choose to either walk through or drive through the show. Group rates and car passes are available.

Tafelmusik’s latest commission is an environmentally-themed digital concert for all ages. Through baroque orchestra, this contemporary fable pits two voracious scavengers against each other in a battle of wits – set against encroaching floods. This performance will inspire you to conserve the health of our planet.
Winter Art Exhibit in Waterloo Park

Create Waterloo is pleased to present artworks from local artists, in this free public art installation. The installations animate Eby Farmstead (located in Waterloo Park) and engage the community in the park through thoughtful and engaging displays of temporary art.
Winter in Fulton – a maple syrup festival

Less than an hour drive from Ottawa, Fulton’s Sugar Bush and Maple Shop is one of Lanark County’s most loved and renowned sugar bushes. Guests can enjoy the fresh air and quiet or bird watch on the 400-acre property, ski or snowshoe an 8 km trail with games along the way, or enjoy a sleigh ride or campfire. For the kids and family, there’s a playground and photobooth – there’s so much to enjoy at Fulton’s! Tickets are $8.85, sleigh ride and maple taffy are $4 each.
